This New Year Thing

Welcome, 2012. I don't know about you, but I've come far in the last 12 years of Resolution Making (that whole Y2K thing was really a bust, wasn't it? I still have 11 cases of water, a Costco-sized pack of toilet paper and a box of crackers in my garage). Do you find yourself easing into the new year with a cold compress, feet on the couch and whispering to your kids "Please. Shh. Mommy is regretting staying up past bedtime with that extra bottle of wine to watch the ball drop and I need my rest, pumpkin. Please stop chasing your sister and for the love of Pete, WHEREISYOURFATHER?!," or are you the kind who rages in like Xena the Warrior Princess, giving the battle-cry promise of Weight-loss, Pay Raises and a Clean(er) House? I am not much of a drinker and I don't really like Xena. Plus, I made my July Resolution 2 years ago to get healthier, which I did in fact do, so I think I'm  good. At least until July.

Who needs Jan 1st to make a resolution. A July resolution is just as good as a "New Years Resolution", maybe even more effective.
